MED WEEK 2.0 Fueling Growth Of Small And Midsized Businesses In New York
Since its inception in 2022 Minority Enterprise Development Week in New York State has continued to fuel the growth of small and midsized businesses in the State of New York. Med Week 2024 2.0 was planned and presented through a unique partnership which included:

Med Week 2024 2.0 comprised of a series of Pre-Med Week activities during the month of October and consisted of three major events centered around providing quality content, tools, and resources to help fuel the small and midsized businesses throughout the state of New York. The events for this year's MED WEEK included a Town Hall session hosted by the Town of Hempstead Deputy Supervisor Dorothy L. Goosby; a panel discussion at the Hays Theatre located at Molloy University, and a Conversation with C-Suite Executives at Lorraine Gregory Communication's Studio in Edgewood, New York. Town of Hempstead Deputy Supervisor Dorothy L. Goosby issued a proclamation from the Town of Hempstead proclaiming the month of October as Minority Enterprise Development Month at this year’s town hall meeting on October 9th, 2024.
At the inaugural event at the Town of Hempstead Sonya Smith, the State Director overseeing 22 SBDC centers in the state was the keynote speaker for MED WEEK 2024 2.0. The chamber in a historic ceremony unveiled its newly designed lapel pin, and commemorated Founder’s Day by presenting its Vice President Rose Ward its 1st Founder’s Day Award.
