After Shocks Rocks
Southeast Queens and
The Tri-State Area

By Kamau Austin

An unnerving 4.8 level earthquake hit the tri-state area with New Jersey, being the epicenter of the vibrations spreading all over the tri-state area into Southeast Queens.  The tremor was very disorientating waking some area residents up at about 10:23 in the morning.

Residents in Bricktown, in Jamaica, Queens, were alarmed at houses shaking in an unnerving alarming fashion.  Residents in St. Albans, attested the quake shook homes and had some neighbors running outside their homes in a incredulous fashion.

Many members of the large and influential BlaQue Resource Network, began to communicate with each other about the earthquake in their group of over 32,000 members.  Some Queens residents who didn't recognize the earthquake tremor called 911 only to receive busy signals.

Searches on Google, took over a half hour to show any updated information on the quake.  Most of the references to earthquakes on Google early on were of the quake on January, 24th, 2024.  That quake was mostly in Astoria, Queens and was only 1.7 which was still unnerving to some in the area.

Another after shock was felt at 5:59 pm.  Mayor Adams and City Hall address the earthquake early on in the day below...

How To Enhance Your Own Added Value In The 21st Century Marketplace

Dr. Martin Luther King said Everybody can be great. Because everyone can serve. The key is to be the best at whatever you are. Because the key to success in the world is the value you add in dealing with others in whatever you do in the world. Because everyone out there has a talent where you can contribute and add value to the world.

But in today’s world you have to sharpen, enhance and present that added value. Far too many of you are waiting for someone to validate your own skill set. In the world of the 21st century you will have to validate, build upon improve and market your own skill set and your own ability to add value in whatever circumstance you find yourself in.

Companies are ruthlessly laying off tens of thousands of workers. Using AI and other tools, They are looking to automate and outsource many tasks and skills they formerly paid workers thousands of dollars a month to perform.

Silver Rights, The Next Chapter in Legacy Building

In the broader discussion of civil rights, there is an often overlooked but critically important concept known as Silver Rights. This idea, brought to the forefront by esteemed author and public speaker John Hope Bryant, highlights a crucial evolution in the civil rights narrative—focusing on economic empowerment. Silver Rights is not just for American minorities but exists for anyone historically excluded from accessing the capital required to expand and enhance their business ventures. At the Dream Exchange, fostering economic growth and facilitating the creation of widespread, generational wealth is at the core of our mission. We are dedicated to democratizing the ownership and control of public companies, breaking down barriers that have, for too long, kept this potential in the hands of the few. Curious to learn more? We cordially invite you to our next webinar,

Dream Exchange Unveiled: Unlocking Capital and Empowering Entrepreneurs scheduled for April 9, 2024, at 4 PM EST. This session will deep-dive into essential legislation aimed at making Wall Street more accessible, fostering a stronger, more fair financial landscape.

Silver Rights is all about advocating for everyone's right to financial success and making sure money matters are fair for all.

It's about recognizing that everyone should have the same chance to do well financially and working to remove the unfair hurdles that stop this from happening. The future success of this idea depends on us all working together and never giving up on the goal of reducing the barriers for entrepreneurs to access capital.

With vital legislation like the Main Street Growth Act, we're aiming to open doors to a world where prosperity is possible for everyone.
