Ms. Complete Girlz of the Year Simone Harper

Complete Girlz, Inc. has collaborated with shelters, recreation centers, and various libraries within the south Jamaica community. Their mission is to empower and uplift young women by providing them with the tools needed to overcome adversity through educational and enrichment programs that promote leadership, confidence, and self-worth.

Simone Harper, 19, a dynamic and inspiring young woman attends Queensborough Community College, where she is pursuing a degree in Nursing. As the very first girl to register for Complete Girlz, Inc., she has been a trailblazer and role model for her peers.

Simone enjoys reading, listening to music, and drawing, using these creative outlets to express herself and find inspiration.

Simone serves as a Junior Board Member on the organization's Board of Directors, where she contributes her insights and experiences to help guide the program's initiatives. She passionately believes in the transformative power of mentoring, seeing it as a vital tool that shapes youth and lays the foundational building blocks for their future success.

When asked why Complete Girlz places such a strong emphasis on self-esteem, Simone explains that self-confidence frames how individuals perceive themselves and significantly impacts every area of their lives. She understands that fostering self-esteem is crucial in empowering young women to realize their potential and navigate life's challenges with resilience and grace.

This year, Simone Harper led her first self-esteem workshop, where she provided valuable insights by breaking down the concept of self-esteem and discussing its high and low attributes. Her engaging approach and clear explanations made a significant impact on participants. We are incredibly proud of her achievements!

In addition, Simone was honored with the prestigious title of Ms. Complete Girlz of the Year for 2024, recognizing her as a shining example of empowerment to her peers. Her dedication to uplifting others and her commitment to her community make her an invaluable asset to Complete Girlz, Inc.

While there are brilliant persons on the Autism Spectrum celebrated today, very little media stories focus on people, especially women of color. Our co-publisher's new bio-pic "nZinga's Spectrum In 3D," is a moving and inspirational documentary on how a young Black woman RISES to overcome her challenges.
