Paula Thompson gives us inspiration for our future generations of entrepreneurs.
The 27 year old is sponsoring her 2nd event for her company Love and Unity LLC, called Black Love Community Day.

Paula is looking to continue to grow her business in a way to help jumpstart viable communities empowered with the root qualities of Love and Unity.  She has started a company reflective of her positive vibes called
Love And Unity LLC.

Thompson grew up in our area of Caribbean heritage and is committed to love and unity imbuing our atmosphere in Southeast Queens.  She exudes a powerful and positive energy of purpose.

Paula is compelling the community in a compassionate way to come out and celebrate Black History Month, in Rochdale, February 10th, 2023 with her exclusive
Black Love Community DayIt will be a day of fun for her neighbors in Queens, and a fun time for all area residents.

We need more young people lifting up Love and Unity in our community right?  So let's support her in her continuing efforts.

I was able to convince the RISing and inspiring entrepreneur to do an interview with me about her
upcoming event February 10th, 2024.  We wanted to learn more about and the focus of this event.  It is uplifting and motivating to see her upcoming business moves and plans.

Paula Thompson's
Black Love Community Day
Continues Below...

Paula it is great to touch base with you again to see you create another Love And Unity, LLC event.  The theme of this one is the: Black Love Community Day!

Kamau's Question:
Paula you're doing your 2nd Event.  What is the theme and purpose of this latest event?

Paula's Answer:
The name of this event is Black Love Community Day. The theme is to support the community in a variety of ways, with this event there is support for local businesses, of performers, of each other.

We as a community need more intentional support. The purpose of this event is Black Love expressed thru performances and a workshop that emphasizes self-care run by a licensed massage therapist.

Kamau's Question: How do you feel your event will enhance the community?

Paula's Answer: The event blends learning, relaxation and support into one day. I have organized this event because this is something I need and I hope that it resonates with others in the community.

Kamau's Question: How different are your events than many of the community pop-up shops or cultural events in our area?

Paula's Answer: It is hard to say at this point, because we are a work in progress.  It is hard to answer this question now.

Kamau's Question: Paula why did you choose the Rochdale Village area as the site of your next event?

Paula's Answer: I chose it because of the support I have received when looking for a space and the inquiries about the event. There are a variety of event spaces in our community and I want to explore and utilize many of them.

Kamau's Question: Paula are you still looking for Vendors?

Paula's Answer: I am not, my vendor amount was small for this event so I could create an intimate atmosphere for the attendees.

Kamau's Question: Paula,  as you know many of the Rochdale residents are senior citizens.  Will you have special activities of interest to the senior population in addition to fun for everyone?

Paula's Answer: The event is for everyone, but as you ask this question, I wouldn’t mind curating events that have a particular focus for senior citizens.  These type of events are catered to something desired but we haven’t seen enough of at this point.

Kamau's Question: Paula how can people reserve their attendance at your event?

Paula's Answer: The Eventbrite link is available to Reserve Your Attendance Click Here
