Kamau's Question: Paula, can you tell me a little about your background? Like did you grow up and go to school in the Jamaica/Southeast Queens area?
Kamau's Question: What are the empowering goals and mission of Love And Unity LLC?
Kamau's Question: Can you tell us about your birthday celebration and why the community should attend?
Paula's Answer: Turning 28, (well almost) has been transformational for me. I am an individual who loves to celebrate others while I am celebrating myself.
If you haven't figured it out by now, I am big on community. Debuting my business on the day I turn 28 in addition to celebrating a variety of businesses in the community is at the core, what I am passionate about.
The community should attend because it's local, it'll be fun, businesses will have a time to introduce themselves and their reasons for beginning their journey. The only way to know the community is to attend the events, actions are key!
Kamau's Question: What are some of the future events and goals you have for your business?
Paula's Answer:... The best way to contact me is via Love and Unity LLC's email, loveandunityllc@gmail.com
Paula's Answer: I am a Queens native, born and raised in Springfield Gardens. I have attended Preschool through Junior High School in Southeast Queens.
My parents are of Jamaican and Bajan descent and have always made sure my experiences, whether it be dining or supporting business, was rooted in the neighborhood.

Kamau's Question: What inspired you to take the leap of faith and start your Love And Unity LLC business?
Paula's Answer: I took the leap of faith and started Love and Unity LLC because I felt ready to create a space for business owners who desire a professional community to grow, challenge each other and flourish in our businesses in ways they haven't thought of.
Kamau's Question: What are the empowering goals and mission of Love And Unity LLC?
Paula's Answer: My empowering goals and mission of Love and Unity LLC is to reach and provide continuous support to the businesses who desire a community. That looks like providing coaching, assistance in advertising, creating events and emphasizing the reflection on how to make business better. Love and Unity is not just an event planning company, but it is the foundation.

Paula's Answer: I have a Black Love Day event in the works for February 2024! My goals for Love and Unity LLC, are to create events and experiences that we don't currently have in the community. We can grow and be bigger than our wildest dreams, step out of our comfort zones and learn from our neighbors.
Additionally, I am working towards creating a business growth initiative, to help small businesses such as myself expand with the help of intentional professional relationships.
