Black History Month Continues Into Spring
With Queens Underground International Film Festival Dates

Queens, NY – January, 30, 2023 -- In honor of Black History, Queens Underground International Film Festival announces Season 5 of its Red Carpet Film Festival which features Independent Filmmakers from all over the world.  The Festival will span two days at a Venue in Queens, NY and includes the following Categories: Movie Shorts, Documentary Shorts, Poetry, Dance and Music Videos and Series Episodes from all genres. 

Held annually in the Springtime, Filmmakers fly in from across the country to view their works on the big screen along with excited audience members.  As a nonprofit organization, Queens Underground, is a Disrupter by offering a unique platform and Festival which also boasts live performances, awards presentations and festive Red Carpet Interviews.

While there are brilliant persons on the Autism Spectrum celebrated today, very little media stories focus on people, especially women of color. Our co-publisher's new bio-pic "nZinga's Spectrum In 3D," is a moving and inspirational documentary on how a young Black woman RISES to overcome her challenges.

This season, the Award for Best Project will take home a $500 check along with a trophy.  Trophies will be awarded for each category along with a trophy for the Best Female and Best Male Actor.

Who Should Submit?  Students, burgeoning and seasoned Filmmakers may Submit their projects before midnight on March 28th. Filmmakers may purchase discounted tickets on the Submission platform as well Click Here

ABOUT QUEENS CENTER OF THE ARTS  QUEENS UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL
Also producing Poetry Showcases and Slams, Artist Pop-Up Markets, Community Movie Nights and Murder Mystery Dinners, Queens Underground is an industry Disruptor in the industry - focusing on Black and Brown Creatives in need of a “Creative and Family Style” Platform…  With a high retention rate, many filmmakers from around the globe return for consecutive Seasons, many bringing cast and crew members to the festivities.
