8-YEAR OLD RAPPER, SUPER KENNEDY, CATCHES THE ATTENTION OF CARDI B


Fredericksburg, VA  Chart-topper Cardi B is taking notice of a young rapper in the making who hails from Fredericksburg. After Kennedy O'Neal recently dropped a remix to the chart topper's popular single, "Money," the hip hop queen quickly took notice and showed the young rising artist some social media love courtesy of Instagram.

"I was so excited and surprised when Cardi B saw my remix to her song. I worked so hard on it, and for someone of her talent and caliber to react so positively to it, it means a lot. I'm a big fan of hers," Kennedy said.

Kennedy's "Money" remix attracted Cardi B's attention after the Instagram account for FroBabies, which has more than 772,000 followers and focuses on empowering children of color, posted a video clip of the 8-year-old's music video with the caption "Super Kennedy does a remix to Cardi B's 'Money.' She is teaching kids to save and invest.'" It wasn't long before Cardi B responded to the post with "I loveeee it."

BLACK-Edged HEALTH AND APPAREL BRAND RESPONDS TO COVID-19 WITH CUSTOM FACE SHIELDS

Houston, TX (Black Edged has announced the launch of its custom designed face shields. PERSONAL FINANCE EXPERT GIVES TIPS ON THE BEST WAYS TO SPEND STIMULUS CHECK

New Britain, CT  Author, Tedx speaker, Non-profit cofounder, and personal finance expert Rahkim Sabree has built a platform of advocacy for financial education especially in the black and brown communities. He declares in his TED talk that he grew up to the mantra "Each one teach one, each one reach one. If you know, teach. If you don't know, learn" and that's exactly what he's done creating and sharing content across the popular social media sites like Instagram and Twitter, writing a book on financial empowerment, co-founding a non profit rooted in ending homelessness through education, delivering a TED talk, and most recently contributing to publications like TheGrio on personal finance matters.

INTERNATIONAL WIG COMPANY DONATES THOUSANDS OF MASKS AND GOGGLES TO WORKERS ON THE FRONTLINES OF THE COVID-19 CRISIS


New York, NY As part of a major initiative to support first-responders, health care workers and other frontline workers during this COVID-19 pandemic, MyFirstWig, one of the world's most popular brands in the lace wig industry, has donated thousands of free medical supplies to these fearless workers.

The total donations included 1,000 N95 masks, 1,000 surgical masks, 3,000 gloves and 300 goggles, donated to these workers primarily in New York City.

"Although what we can do is limited," Nicole Wilson, a manager at MyFirstWig. "We tried our best to support those who work on the front line. If we all stick together and support each other, there is nothing we can't overcome."

ATTORNEY HELPED SAVE BLACK MEN'S LIVES BY CALLING FOR SUSPENSION OF ANTI-MASK LAW DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Nationwide -- Gerald Griggs, an attorney and VP of the NAACP's Atlanta branch, had began calling for an immediate suspension of the anti-mask law during the COVID-19 pandemic to help protect the safety of Black men in Georgia. Just five days later, the Governor signed the executive order.

The 1951 law states: "A person is guilty of a misdemeanor when he wears a mask, hood, or device by which any portion of the face is so hidden, concealed, or covered as to conceal the identity of the wearer and is upon any public way or public property or upon the private property of another without the written permission of the owner or occupier of the property to do so."

The punishment is a fine of $1,000 and 12 months in jail.

SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR FILES LAWSUIT AGAINST ST. PAUL POLICE DEPT FOR VIOLATING HIS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS

Nationwide --  In St Paul, Minnesota, an artist, musician and fashion designer who calls himself London tha Arsonist says that he was wrongly arrested and had his legally-owned firearm illegally confiscated by the police. London says that he is a law abiding citizen that has received high level training in the safe use of firearms for self defense purposes by former police officers. However, this didn't matter when he says corrupt local police arrested him, put him in jail and took away his legally owned firearm.

He was arrested following a narrow escape when he was nearly run down by a car that was being driven dangerously in full view of witnesses. None of this mattered to the Police Department who showed their racism, acting under the supposed color of law to enforce their own anti-constitutional regulations based on bigotry and corruption.

JAY-Z'S 2020 SHAWN CARTER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM CONTINUES DESPITE COVID-19

Nationwide -- Rapper turned entrepreneur Jay-Z has decided to continue his annual scholarship program despite the coronavirus pandemic. His Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund helps students advance their education by giving them the resources they need to enroll in college, pay the tuition, and successfully finish college on time.

Founded by Jay-Z and his philanthropist mother, Gloria, the program focuses on helping low income students who live in underserved areas across urban America.
