Southeast Queens Based Global Jazz Artist Ed Jackson Headlines At Birdland in Manhattan This Month 

After A Whirlwind Tour In January World Renowned Southeast Queens Jazz Standout Ed Jackson Ends The Month On A High Note At Birdland Night Club

Ed Jackson, a local entrepreneur and highly acclaimed global jazz artist, is reaching out to invite area residents to a special performance at Manhattan's Legendary Birdland Jazz Club.  He'll be playing with the outstanding Robert Silverman Quartet, at Birdland, 5:30 pm: Thursday, January 23rd, 2020.

Robert Silverman, played with the Ed Jackson Quartet, at Jackson Room, in Southeast Queens, last November for the club's listening pleasure.  "Now I'm returning the favor" says Jackson.

Ed states "we'll be playing mostly Rob's fabulous original compositions, probably a classic jazz standard or two, and some blues.  "This promises to be an invigorating night of jazz. This will be exciting so don't miss it!" assures Jackson.

Due to the whirlwind jazz performances in January, there won't be one this month at Jackson Room in Queens, NY.  However, Ed would love to see his neighbors at Birdland on Thursday, the 23rd in Manhattan.

AUTHOR AND ATTORNEY RELEASES NEW BOOK, "FAILURE TO PROTECT," ABOUT BULLYING AND CHILD SUICIDE

Nationwide -- After learning about the suicide deaths of two 9-year old Alabama girls, Pamela Samuels Young decided to take on this rising epidemic in her new novel entitled Failure to Protect. She is one of America's leading African-American authors of legal thrillers, having penned 14 books over a span of a 20-year writing career.

SIX GEORGIA STATE LAWMAKERS INTRODUCE NEW BILL TO HOLD POLICE OFFICERS ACCOUNTABLE FOR SHOOTINGS

Atlanta, GA -- Six female Georgia lawmakers have taken historic action by filing a bill that requires all state and local law enforcement departments to create a 'use of force' database that is accessible by the public. The Use of Force Act (House Bill 636) was filed by State Representatives Renitta Shannon, Sandra Scott, Erica Thomas, Pam Stephenson, Park Cannon, and Bee Nguyen.

The Bill comes on the heels of a considerably large number of high profiled officer-involved shooting cases in Georgia. The names of the victims include Jimmy Atchison, Veltavious Griggs, JaMarion Robinson, Caine Rogers, DeAundre Phillips, Nicholas Thomas, Anthony Hill, Alexia Christian, Kevin Davis, and many others. The cases of Atchison and Griggs were both heavily featured on BET's Copwatch America docuseries.

Kennedy O'Neal (aka Super Kennedy) is only 7-years old, but she's already a lyrical maestro in the making on a mission to teach kids and adults about financial responsibility. HOLLYWOOD TYPICALLY IGNORES ACTRESSES WITH DISABILITIES, BUT THIS ONE DESERVES AN OSCAR NOMINATION!

Beverly Hills, CA -- Actress Lauren "Lolo" Spencer is receiving rave reviews for her breakout role as the first African-American disabled lead female in the new film, Give Me Liberty. . Lauren has ALS and is wheel-chair bound, but still shines as one of the most talented actresses of our time.
