Jamaica And Southeast Queens Hosts 1st Ever International Black History Month Film Festival
Submissions for the “Past, Present, and Future” are coming in from around the world and will be Screened at the glamorous Jamaica Performing Arts Center in downtown Jamaica, NY. With Live Performances, February 22, 2020 will be an exciting and vibrant show of talent and collaboration with Artists, Small Businesses and Local Organizations.
Vendors, Food, Desserts, and Community Group manned tables (including the Central Queens Library, Queens Historical Society and Jamaica BID) will complete the evening- a Celebratory Red Carpet Night in Jamaica, Queens, NY. Confident that the February Film Festival will also have over 100 international submissions and a packed house reminiscent of the October 2019 4-Day Festival, Queens Underground 718 is enjoying bringing multi-genres together and making a difference.

Proud to have impressive Review Team Members such as, Multi-Grammy Nominee, Mikey Jay, Industry Professional, Kavika, Singer-Songwriters: Hide Inaba, Oxygen Box Band, a Koluchi Dance Troope, etc., Community Leaders and Creatives across the tri-state are meeting on the Red Carpet Event in most legendary section of Queens, NY.
25 Years In Review Interview Video footage with LL Cool J, RUN DMC, Mr. Cheeks, Flava Flav and Wayne and Charlie have been submitted by: Sam Lee TV.
Awards for Outstanding Community Service will be given to community members such as, Detective Tanya Duhaney, 113th Precinct and Deputy Taylor Jackson, 14th District, Senator Leroy Comrie.
