Nationwide  Speaking and training is a multi-billion dollar industry. More and more schools, companies and organizations are seeking and paying qualified speakers big dollars to come in and solve problems and add value through speaking and training their organizations using the speaker's expertise, experience and knowledge.

The challenge is there are many qualified African Americans with expertise, experience and knowledge who want to start a speaking business, but don't know how to get started or how to expand their speaking and training careers to do it full-time.

"SHOP BLACK WEEK" CAMPAIGN TO BOOST SUPPORT FOR BLACK-OWNED BUSINESSES WILL BE NOVEMBER 22 TO 29


Nationwide -- As consumers across the U.S. gear up for holiday deals on sales merchandise, this Black Friday, a coalition urges buyers to make it a Shop Black Week. More than 100 groups have designated November 22 to 29 as Shop Black Week, a time of supporting Black-owned businesses by purchasing products, goods, or services from Black entrepreneurs.

The Shop Black Week campaign is a nationwide campaign that simply asks every American to support Black-owned businesses in November. Participating entities include organizations, Online-social groups and publications that have made the commitment to help spread the word with their social media accounts.

Senator James Sanders Jr. Hosts Successful Community Development Day

Senator James Sanders Jr. (D-Rochdale Village, Far Rockaway) hosted a Community Development Day in partnership with Rochdale Village on September 26, 2019 at the Rochdale Village Community Center. Senator Sanders conducted this event as part of his mission to prepare community members to be self-sufficient and successful in their endeavors. 

Senator Sanders strives to provide the community with the resources required to accomplish their business goals. Community Development Day delivered key training for those interested in starting a small business or non-profit, bringing experts in their respective fields to the event to impart their knowledge.

Ed Jackson And The Backdrop Of The Sugar Hill Supper Club In Bed Stuy, Brooklyn
Queens, NY -- Internationally acclaimed jazz musician Ed Jackson, who also operates several businesses in Southeast Queens, NY, is recently back from Brazil and the United Kingdom.  Jackson was in Brazil recording his next album and in the United Kingdom performing with the legendary Fat Back Band.

However, he is looking to make the rounds again in the NYC area.  Jackson, a well regarded alto saxophonist and recording artist, is also the club owner of Jackson Room, a St. Albans epicenter of jazz.

Ed for over 7 years has been endeavoring to bring world class jazz back to the community in Southeast Queens and NYC.  On Monday, November 4th, 2019 (between 7 pm and 11 pm) Jackson will bring his namesake Ed Jackson Quartet, to Brooklyn in a performance billed as "Enjoy A Night Of Tasteful Jazz In Brooklyn," at the Sugar Hill Supper Club & Restaurant.

Black Chamber of Commerce launches Campaign To Rebuild Business


New York, New York – African American Chamber of Commerce LIAACC launches campaign to Retool, Refocus, and Rebuild Black Business in New York State. As New York State's largest African American Chamber of Commerce the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (LIAACC) has raised the bar for what it means to be a black chamber in New York State. The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. serves the counties of Kings, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk.
