FOUNDER OF BLACK-OWNED CULTURAL CENTER/ BOOK STORE IN ATLANTA TO LAUNCH FREE FESTIVAL
Atlanta, GA -- Kazemde Ajamu has always had his eye - and heart - on
bringing Black culture and history to the forefront, especially among
the younger generation. It's not just in his nature, but part of his
mission at the Black Dot Cultural Center and Bookstore.
On Saturday,
Sept. 28, Ajamu will take his passion for cultural immersion to the next
level with the first-ever Black Dot Culture and Art Festival
at 6984 Main Street, Lithonia, Georgia. From 12-8 pm, the one-of-a-kind
event will feature food, fun and performances by Akosua Tait, Giwayen
Mata, RareEpiphany and special guest Michon Young.
"For me,
it's so important that we come together and really get to experience all
of the different forms and aspects of our culture first-hand. We're
tapping into all of your senses for a day filled with celebrating Black
culture," said Ajamu, the festival host and owner of Black Dot Cultural
Center and Bookstore.

STOCKS AND STILETTOS SOCIETY TO HOST THE STOCK SISTAR SUMMIT (#SISTARSUMMIT19) IN SAN DIEGO

8TH ANNUAL BLACK NATURAL HAIR AND HEALTH EXPO TO FEATURE WOMAN WITH THE LARGEST AFRO IN THE WORLD
Killeen, TX -- The 8th annual Armed Forces Natural Hair and Health Expo (AFNHHE)
will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at
the Killeen Civic & Conference Center at 3601 S. WS Young Drive in
Killeen, Texas. The event will feature workshops, demonstrations,
entertainment and a natural hair and fashion show for children and
adults directed by Runway Fierce and a natural hair contest. The Expo is
expected to attract attendees from nationwide. Free gift bags to the
first 100 attendees.
This year's special guest is Aevin Dugas, Guinness World Record Holder of the World's Largest Afro (Female). Aevin will be there to display her afro and take pictures with the attendees. Performers at previous Expos include actress/comedienne Kim Coles, comedian Michael Colyar, violinist Daniel D., R&B artist Noel Gourdin and L.Young.
In addition to more than 30 booths and exhibits covering natural hair and health, the expo provides workshops for attendees, which include information on women in the military wearing their natural hair according to the military regulations, natural hair care, and hair braiding and many others.

ART OF COOL FESTIVAL 2019 IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER
Durham, NC Jill Scott, Run DMC, Ari Lennox, Whodini and Big Daddy
Kane featuring The Symphony lead the all-star lineup for the 2019 sixth
Annual Art of Cool Festival
(AOCFEST) held September 27-29th in downtown Durham. Produced by The
DOME Group LLC, AOCFEST will feature a range of R&B, Neo Soul,
Hip-Hop, Jazz, alternative and spoken word performances and speakers at
multiple venues: Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP), the Durham Armory,
Motorco Music Hall, Carolina Theatre, The Pinhook, The Masonic Lodge and
Beyu Caffe. National Basketball Association star Rasheed Wallace will
be the special guest host for the DBAP performances during AOCFEST 2019.
