AFRICAN AMERICAN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVOR AND AUTHOR LAUNCHES REACH BACK CAMPAIGN TO INCREASE AWARENESS ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
 Drendra Williams' Reach Back Campaign

Temple, TX --  Domestic violence survivor and author, Drenda Williams, launches her Reach Back Campaign with new products - a lipgloss line called JoyL and a beard oil called Mfalme in commemoration of the 2019 Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Drenda has dedicated her time, talents and energy to increase awareness about domestic violence and reach back to those who are both victims and survivors.

The Reach Back Campaign will donate 10% of every sale to a female and male domestic violence shelters and organizations selected annually. Her goal is to inspire survivors of domestic violence to reach their full potential, regardless of the obstacles life throws at them.

According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men are reported to have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime. There are still a tremendous amount of unreported incidents which is why Williams is changing this narrative by speaking out about her past experiences to let others know they are not alone.
