2ND ANNUAL GOLD WOMEN'S WELLNESS BUSINESS BREAKFAST AT THE BROOKLYN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Brooklyn, NY  Often times, women find themselves exhausted, with no time for themselves. Women are natural caregivers, gravitating towards the needs of others before the needs of themselves. Many are running a household, taking care of a spouse or significant other, children, and possibly aging parents on top of working a full-time job or running a business.

However, self-care is an important factor in our daily lives that can not be ignored. A consistent question some women have is, "How can I balance juggling all of the responsibilities and roles of being a family caregiver, a businesswoman, and still prioritize my own needs?"

Their panel of experts will educate women on balancing their Health and Wellness while also operating and growing their business or career, Rebranding themselves after Breast Cancer, as well as, having Financial Wellness should attend the Gold Women's Wellness Business Breakfast on Thursday, October 24th from 9am - 11:30am.

The Breakfast will be held at The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, located at 335 Adams Street, Suite 2700, Brooklyn, New York, 11201. The Event also includes Breakfast Refreshments, Prize Drawings, and a Fun Speed Networking Session that starts at 9:15am.

According to NationalBreastCancer.org, "1 in 8 women in the United States will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States. There are over 3.5 million breast cancer survivors in the United States."

The event is presented in partnership with the American Cancer Society in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During the event, the American Cancer Society will be available to answer any questions regarding Breast Cancer Awareness. They will share prevention tips for early detection.

The two-hour thirty-minute program will feature Panel Experts that specialize in making the time to tend to your overall wellness, managing your business, providing steps for financial wellness and education on how your brand and your health are tied together. The responsibilities involved in running a business can be made even more complicated when issues of health and imbalance are introduced into the equation. Not only will the business topics be addressed as well as taking leave from work, but also the importance of health and wellness as it pertains to work/life balance.

The impact of illness in the workplace will be covered and is especially important to Dixon-Anderson. She herself being a recent breast cancer survivor found herself going through Chemotherapy while also running her business.

Debra Dixon-Anderson shared, "My journey has been a long ride. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2017. Our Annual Gold Women's Wellness Business Breakfast is in honor of breast cancer awareness month and this is an event I am super excited to be a part of.

I ended up evolving my Personal Brand because not only was I changing physically during Treatment and after, but I was changing internally as well. With my diagnosis I chose to share this journey and I'm looking forward to sharing tips and tools to help with Personal Branding post-Cancer as well as sharing Self-Care Tips."
