Queens Council on the Arts to Host Grant Writing Workshop

Queens, New York — Queens Council on the Arts (QCA) will host two grant writing workshops at the SUNY Queens Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) on Wednesday, September 18 and September 25, 6:00-7:30pm, as part of its “Under the Hood” professional development workshop for artists. The SUNY Queens EOC is located at 158-29 Archer Avenue, Jamaica, New York, and hosts many of QCA’s workshops and info sessions.

Join us on Wednesday, September 18th, 6:00-7:30pm for a workshop that will focus on what it takes to craft a great Artist Statement and/or Organization Mission Statement.

On Wednesday, September 25th, 6:00-7:30pm we will present a workshop that will focus on what it takes to develop an effective Project Description and Budget for grant proposals.

Queens Council on the Arts is the borough-wide arts council of Queens. The mission of the Queens Council on the Arts is to foster and develop the arts in Queens County and to support individual artists and arts organizations in presenting their cultural diversity for the benefit of the community.

ABOUT Under the Hood:
Under the Hood is a professional development workshop series where artists can learn the fundamentals of the business of art. During the presentation, attendees will have the chance to experience critiques of up to 3 project plans in an open forum. Artists interested in submitting their projects for review will be registered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
