In the short time that Wellspring has been open (November 2018), guest reviews on Trip Advisor, Travel Noire, Prince George's Suite Magazine, and the Washington Informer have been consistently outstanding. Along with an organic robust sharing on social media platforms, word of mouth about the property has spread across the region - especially among luxury travelers of color seeking an experience that reflects their cultural and culinary preferences.
Lisa Brown Alexander and her husband, Kevin Alexander, are both successful entrepreneurs and business leaders. Lisa has served as President & CEO of a human resources management consulting firm since 2000 and prior to that served in a variety of executive level positions. Kevin recently retired as a Managing Director of Construction Services with a major insurance company after over 30 years of service. Since 2010, Kevin has also served as the creator and executive producer of the Lake Arbor Jazz Festival, one of the region's premier cultural events.
"Our inspiration for Wellspring Manor & Spa came in part from Mr. Eddie Brown, investment management executive, and owner of The Ivy Hotel, a top-flight, boutique hotel located in Baltimore. We visited, stayed, dined, studied, observed and experienced how Mr. Brown and his staff ran their operations and learned first-hand what it meant to offer unmatched customer service. My husband Kevin and I decided if we were going to open Wellspring Manor & Spa and be successful, we had to learn from the best in the business. We are here to create a legacy. Not just for our children, but also for the residents and visitors of Prince George's County. Our goal is to put Prince George's County on the map for intimate first-class accommodations," says Lisa.
