THE FIFTH ANNUAL B.O.S.S. BRUNCH CELEBRATES AND EDUCATES WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN WASHINGTON, DC

Washington, DC  With the unstable conditions of the stock market and government shut down, all while dealing with holiday shopping hangovers, consumers are feeling a huge financial pinch in the pocket book. People are now realizing that creating multiple streams of income is no longer a fantasy, but a necessity to make ends meet. With this reality, women are stepping up and building businesses. In fact, 4 out of 10 businesses are owned by women and based on the 2018 State of Women-Owned Business Report by American Express, "As of 2018, there are 12.3 million women-owned businesses in the U.S."

As more women explore the opportunities of entrepreneurship, access to information, education, mentoring and resources become more necessary. "The purpose of the B.O.S.S. (Business Owner Success Strategies) Brunch is to give new women entrepreneurs information and resources they need to be successful with their business and for a reasonable investment in an intimate and supportive environment," said BOSS Brunch Founder, international speaker, author and financial expert, Tarra Jackson, known as Madam Money.

Jackson will host the BOSS Brunch for the fifth year in the Washington D.C. area on Saturday, January 12. Every year the BOSS Brunch focuses on topics crucial to the success of women entrepreneurs. "Based on the feedback from over 1,000 women entrepreneurs in my #WomensWealth Network, most requested help with gaining more media exposure and understanding marketing and branding. So, this year will be focus on: Media, Marketing and Branding Strategies to Grow Business Profits," said Jackson.

This year is two women entrepreneurs will be recognized for their support and efforts in helping women entrepreneurs succeed locally, nationally and internationally. The awards are in memoriam of Jackson's late grandmother, Rev. Jean Kathryn Allen Wilson, who was a major influence in her and the lives of other women in her community, as her late mother, Stephanie Rojean Jackson, who was a great supporter of women entrepreneurs.

The first recipient of the "Rev. Jean Kathryn Allen Wilson" BOSS Influencer Award is media commentator, international speaker and author, Dr. Avis Jones-DeWeever for the major impact she has made in the lives of women entrepreneurs internationally. The first recipient of the "Stephanie Rojean Jackson" BOSS Leadership Award is international motivational speaker and author, Cheryl Wood for her coaching and mentoring of women entrepreneurs across the globe.

BOSS Brunch is known for its dynamic speakers and powerhouse panel that allows attendees to ask industry experts questions directly.

The 2019 BOSS Speakers along with Jackson are: marketing expert, Trevor Otts; international speaker and fitness expert, Candice Camille; political commentator, author, Dr. Avis Jones-DeWeever and speaker, Cheryl Wood.

The 2019 BOSS Powerhouse Panel will include executive producer of the Rickey Smiley Morning Show Loren "Hollywood" Henderson; WHUR producer Candice Adkins; publicist and SPEAKERS Magazine publisher Pam Perry; digital marketing expert A. Fitzgerald Hardnett; and branding consultant and entrepreneur Larry White, Sr.

The fifth Annual B.O.S.S. (Business Owner Success Strategies) Brunch will be at the Crystal Gateway Marriott at 1700 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Arlington VA 22202 on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 9AM ET.
