Nationwide Justin and Terry L. Raimey (A.K.A. the Black Streak
Bros) are bringing their unique Black perspectives to the comics, books,
graphic novels, art work, and games they develop under their creative
brand, Black Streak Entertainment. Long before being a 'blerd' was
socially acceptable (a combination of the words 'black' and 'nerd'), the
brothers were immersed in comic, anime, and video game culture.
"I got my start drawing my favorite characters as a kid - Kirby, Ninja Turtles, Sonic the Hedgehog," says Justin, a self-taught artist. "While in high school I started drawing in the Japanese anime style. I liked the realism of the body proportions and such. From there, I added different elements of American style cartoon art and my own unique artistic elements as well."

Having developed their artistic and storytelling styles over the years, the brothers' confidence in their craft is at an all-time high, and they are ready to take their artistic endeavors to the next level.
"We know who we are as artists and who we are creating for," says Terry, the writer. "We are telling stories with themes and characters that resonate with Black folks and the experiences that make us who we are as multi-dimensional and wonderfully diverse people. Now is the right time for us to open our studio in L.A. and work towards taking our projects to the mainstream. We need an army of supporters behind us to make this happen, which is why we've taken to Patreon to build up our community."
The Raimey brothers' artistic and literary works range from whimsical comedies and comic cookbooks to gritty urban fantasy, all with the aim to inform and entertain audiences. Current projects include: Knights of 2nd Earth (urban fantasy book series), Fiji Random (comedy manga series), Black Quest (multi-player video game), My Sweet Lady (comedy/adventure comic book series), Black Streak Kitchen (comic cookbook series), Milk & Coffee (visual novel), and Dusty Dirty Days (comedy manga series)
