Nationwide  -- March is Women's History Month. While we celebrate the many successes women have achieved, the #MeToo movement sheds light on the fact that there is much work yet to do.
Some people ask why women suffer in silence, and why, after accomplishing numerous firsts, do approximately 12 million women in the United States experience clinical depression, in some cases without knowing that they do? The #MeToo movement kicked off a firestorm and became the transformational calling card for women to take up their personal mantle and take responsibility to create greater happiness, get more love and generate more prosperity.

For women who settle for less than what they deserve in their marriages, relationships, careers and life in general, You Deserve More is an attention- grabbing and transformational documentary packed with inspirational and practical advice from women who have overcome unhappiness, self-doubt, fear, guilt, low self-esteem, loneliness, poverty and domestic violence by embracing and living in one fundamental truth: that they deserve more.

The documentary is the brainchild of Dr. Dwayne L. Buckingham, President and Chief Executive Officer of R.E.A.L. Horizons Consulting Solutions, LLC. Dr. Buckingham is a highly acclaimed international clinical psychotherapist, relationship expert and corporate consultant. Over the past 20 years, he has dedicated his life to helping individuals, couples and corporate leaders build healthy relationships by providing world-class empathy and resiliency consulting. This candid cinematic work offers heartfelt revelations about the emotional and psychological conflict women experience when they "settle" instead of fighting for what they deserve. The documentary will screen on Thursday, March 29, at the Avalon Theatre in Washington, DC, and on Friday, April 12, at Central Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri.

This timely documentary focuses on women becoming empowered to transition from depression to happiness, from abuse to love, and from poverty to prosperity. The 70-minute film features women from all backgrounds and professions who share insights on everything women need to create greater happiness, get more love and generate more prosperity.

"We can no longer sit around while our mothers, aunts, daughters, sisters, nieces and granddaughters suffer from unhappiness, self-doubt, fear, guilt, low self-esteem, loneliness, poverty and domestic violence," says Dr. Buckingham.

He adds, "I created this film because I personally support the #MeToo movement. I have witnessed women in my own family suffering in silence. Any movement that uplifts and empowers women will garner my full support. I believe that it takes an entire community of both women and men to eradicate sexual assault and the marginalization of women."
