BBQ And Soul Food Is Soaring At "House Of Smoke!"

Near the Historic mural of the legends of St. Albans, is a new promising BBQ and soul food establishment called the "House of Smoke."  The House of Smoke is poised to soar in its reputation for tasty BBQ and soul food and is a family business run by the Eagle family.  The Eagles, are a family of long time residents in the Southeast Queens area.

The family, like a lot of our families, has southern roots.  The recipes come from the grandmother of the family and she has a good touch for soul food.

The Eagles tell me their speciality is BBQ ribs.  They also offer BBQ Chicken and fish like Whiting, Tilapia, and Shrimp.

I tasted their BBQ Wings, Collard Greens, and Mac & Cheese dishes.  It was a hearty meal and very delicious.  Their dessert was mini Sweet Potato Pie. It was also yummy.

House of Smoke is mostly an order and takeout place.  There really isn't any tables for seating.  Their meals run from $6.50 to $8.50 for snack packs.  Their platters run from $13.00 to $13.50 for BBQ Chicken to $14 for the Rib Platter and up to $15 for the Shrimp and Whiting Combo Platter.

The sides run from $4 to $7 for Baked Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens, String Beans, Potato Salad depending on if you order an 8 oz or 16 oz side dish.  If you like smoked BBQ type soul foods ordering and picking up at House Of Smoke, is worth your time to call at 718-526-5340.
