Join the St. John’s University Chappell Players for the third installment of The 24 Hour Play Festival! You and your theatre-loving peers can conceptualize, write, direct, design, and perform a play all in 24 hours! If you’d like to participate, fill out the form (via the link below) by Wednesday, November 1st at 11:59PM.
Friday, November 3rd
8:00pm: Kickoff
Participants will introduce themselves and present a Prop or Costume piece that may be used in the New Plays.
Teams will be randomly assigned
9:00pm – 6:00am: Writers create, edit, and finalize scripts
Saturday, November 4th
6:00am – 8:00am: Director’s and Designers are emailed scripts
9:00am – 10:00am: Play Teams arrive and receive a rehearsal room. Rehearsal Begins
12:00pm – 1:00pm: Recommended Lunch Break
1:00pm – 6:00pm: Rehearsals/20 minute Tech Rehearsals
6:00pm – 7:00pm: Recommended Dinner break
7:00pm – 7:30pm: Run Transitions
7:30pm – 8:00pm: House Opens
8:00pm: Performance Go!
