Hair Nation Expo 2017 was an amazing success! The LIVE hair and beauty event of the season! It was held on Columbus Day, Monday, October 9th, 2017 from 10am to 6pm at Black Spectrum Theatre in Jamaica Queens, New York.
Hair Nation Expo 2017 message was that of unity across the spectrum of hair with healthy hair being the common focus. Education was very important at Hair Nation Expo 2017, so there were several workshops on tap that included Edith Younger, long-time hairstylist from A Cut Above in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Edith’s did workshops on Preventing Hair Loss and consults with the hair professionals and the general public. Financial Expert, Benjjamin K. Zales lead Planning Your Financial Road Map, Kerry Hines, event host, with How to Get Rich in the Hair Business, based on his popular book and The Hair Radio Morning Show.
Hair Nation Expo 2017 was hosted by the amazing team of Allyson Springett and Kerry Hines and Daliah Ferguson. It was a knockout performance by all and the response has been simply superb! Allyson Springett is a star and you’ll be seeing her a lot!! Daliah Ferguson became the very first recipient of Hair Nation Expo’s Future Leader of Tomorrow Award with her dedication to the hair industry.
The performing line up was absolutely fabulous and different. The show started with the hosts relaxing everyone and giving a breakdown of what to expect and then quickly turned serious with a VIP Guest Speaker from the New York City Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence, Dan Ortiz.
Dan spoke to the audience and disseminated information to get everyone thinking. He did a great job with such a heavy topic but it was very very well! He even share goody treats for everybody! Nice job from these amazing folks!
Allyson and Kerry returned to the stage following Dan and began with a hair industry panel made up of several hair industry notables. They were all very knowledgeable and responded to questions from the audience. The panelists were two hair industry professionals now representing Flow Industries and a gentleman from Platinumm Needles, excellent!
Other notable LIVE performances were Actress Alicia Thompson and Rapper Kyle Knight. They each shared their gifts with our audience with amazing sets! Simply marvelous!!
The Fashion deserves its own space! Michi Knitwear took care of the models wearing their beautiful designs set to great music and staging! The Hair Nation Expo 2017 show watchers are still talking about the presentation. It was extraordinary work by Ms. Michi Walden and her team!!

Lastly, I would like to acknowledge the amazing community in Jamaica, Queens, where the event was held. The folks were simply awesome! It was their inspiration that so greatly contributed to the success of Hair Nation Expo 2017! We’re just getting started!
