Area Politicians State Senator Leroy Comrie, and State Assembly members Alicia Hyndman, & Clyde Vanel, are hosting an event on how local residents may qualify for grants. Their grants aim at funding materials, basic equipment, and other items needed to make grassroots community-building projects happen. 

A Word From State Senator Leroy Comrie

Dear neighbors,

Our office is partnering with the Citizens Committee for New York City, Assembly Member Alicia Hyndman & Assembly Member Clyde Vanel to host an information session to discuss grant opportunities available. Citizens Committee offers micro-grants to finance community building projects throughout the city. You do not need a formal organization to have access to this money.

I encourage you to attend to make sure our community is aware of the funding available to us. Please spread the word and invite a friend:

Their grants aim at funding materials, basic equipment, and other items needed to make grassroots community-building projects happen. Grants are not to pay individual's salaries, pay fees to larger organizations, or provide direct service items.
