D&F Development Group LLC, a Long Island-based developer, who is receiving a tax exemption under the 421-a program in exchange for providing the affordable units, is leasing out affordable housing in Locust Manor. The two buildings with the affordable units are the 8 Story Pavilion at Locust Manor (near Rochdale), located at 171-04 Baisley Blvd and the Horizon at Locust Manor which is still being constructed.

The Pavilion is an 8 story building with 80 affordable units.  It will rent out the affordable units based on your income in relation to median income of other residents in the area.
The apartment building boasts amenities like a laundry, community rooms, bicycle storage, video intercom system, parking lot, elevators, and security cameras.

These are some of the affordable apartments available:

> 8 studios

> 31 one-bedrooms and

> 42 two-bedrooms

These units are priced between $368 to $1,511 a month based on your income.  For instance if your are a single applicant making between $14,503 to $20,040 a year you can apply for the 3 studios available at $368.

According to DNA info "There will also be six one-bedroom units for $558 a month for one person making between $21,086 and $26,720a year or two people earning between $21,086 and $30,560 a year.

The listing also includes 20 two-bedroom units for $1,065 a month for two people making between $36,503 and $45,840 a year, three people earning between $38,503 and $51,540 a year or four-person households making between $38,503 and $57,240 a year, according to the income requirements."
