The Black Spectrum Theatre, serving Queens since 1970, hosts stage productions, films and performing arts that help promote and bring awareness to issues within the African-American community. With a particular focus on youth education, the theater serves the local African-American, Caribbean-American and Latino populations residing within its Queens location.
Youth programs include after-school options that enrich children’s lives through theater production, music studio recording and digital video production; a summer camp; and programs that encourage and support up-and-coming young actors. and is located in Roy Wilkens Park, in St. Albans, New York.
